What happens after I get in touch?
We discuss the person needing support and what is becoming difficult at home. From there we arrange a free in-home care consultation, review the appropriate non-medical services with you, and then discuss the care arrangement and the availability we can confirm in your area. Nothing is arranged until you tell us it is right.
How much does home care cost?
Cost depends on which services are needed, how many hours are involved and the schedule that works for the family. After the free consultation we provide a clear written summary of the services, schedule and any charges before care begins, so there are no surprises.
How quickly can care begin?
Timing depends on the services requested and the caregiver availability we can confirm in your area. We will tell you honestly and specifically what is possible once we understand the arrangement, rather than give you a timeline we might not meet.
Will we have the same caregiver?
We aim for consistency, because familiar faces make care feel far more comfortable. Changes can happen because of illness, travel or urgent needs, and we communicate any change to the family as early as we reasonably can.
How do you screen and support your caregivers?
We confirm our screening and training practices with every family before a caregiver visits a client, and we only assign caregivers to tasks they have been trained for. If you would like the detail of what we check, please ask us and we will walk you through it.
What happens if we are not satisfied with a caregiver?
Please tell us. We take every concern seriously, speak with the family, and address the match again. Your loved one’s comfort, dignity and safety come first, and you should never feel you have to work around a problem.
Do you serve my town?
Our primary service area is Middlesex County, along with the confirmed communities listed on our service areas page. If your town is not listed, call 732-860-1883 with your ZIP code and we will confirm whether we can serve you.
Can you help with medications?
We provide medication reminders only. A caregiver gives a calm reminder at the times already set by the client’s doctor or pharmacist, and records that the reminder was given. We do not administer medication, change doses or offer advice about medication.
